Our beloved Father John McFadden, who ministered at St. Joseph while serving as Parochial Vicar at our twinned parish, Presentation BVM, entered eternal life on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Father McFadden’s funeral will take place at Presentation BVM Church, Cheltenham on Saturday, January 10, 2026.  The Reception of the Body will take place at 9am with a viewing until 10:45am.  Bishop Keith J. Chylinski, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, will be the main celebrant of Father McFadden’s funeral Mass at 11am.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken.

Please pray for the soul of parishioner, Gerard Costello, who died on January 17, 2005. Jerry was the husband of Molly and the father of Patrick (St. Joseph School, Class of 2002) and the late Gerard.

Catherine Boyce (nee McTeague) of Cheltenham, PA, formerly of County Donegal, Ireland, Philadelphia, PA and the Bronx, NY, died on October 28, 2023.  She was 88 years old.  She was the beloved wife of the late William P., the devoted mother of William J. and the loving sister of Noreen Brennan and the late Nan Nestor.  She is also survived by her cousin in Ireland, Catherine Doohan, her sister-in-law, Mary Boyce, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Catherine’s funeral will take place on Friday, November 3 at St. Joseph Church, 7631 Waters Rd., Cheltenham, PA 19012, with a viewing from 8:30am until 9:45am and Mass at 10am.  Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, Mass cards or donations to Presentation BVM School, 100 Old Soldiers Rd., Cheltenham,  PA 19012 for tuition assistance would be appreciated.
